Language, music and visual arts shape the present and transport awareness into the future

The Future Symposium on Friday evening will be a meeting place for artists, doctors, psychologists, students of the humanities, politics, and economists to discuss language.

Language and its influence can trigger permanent epignetic changes.

Our perceptions are mostly unconscious and marked by metaphors. This intuitive and context-related interpretative framework can be a social bridge on a number of levels, if it is understood.

The medium of language initiates dialogues and time-space and through these, deeper awareness and complex issues are conveyed. These dimensions and the social effects on society as a whole can be experienced on the basis of neuroscientific findings in the Future Symposium.

Leaders of discussion:

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Walter Zieglgänsberger - Hirnforscher - brain researcher – winner of the German Pain Prize, of the Sertürner Prize, Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry Munich. - Leader of discussion

Prof. Dr. phil. Dieter Vaitl - Psychologist - Clinical Psychology and Psychophysiology. Director of internationally renowned Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology and Psychohygiene in Freiburg.

Dr. Franziska Wiebel - evolutionary biologist
