The organisers Dr. med. Johanna Michel and Dr. med. Hermann Schmidt see the healing arts in the tradition of the holistic perception of mankind and its sensory translation into music and other visual forms of art.

Through artistic projects under the name Valle Venia and regular internationally and scientifically recognised events, they promote thesocio-political perception of the need to understand pain as an interdisciplinary and psychosocial phenomenon.
